Getting Started
The Basics of IPTV Canada
What exactly is IPTV and how does it work?

IPTV (Internet Protocol Television) streams television content over your broadband internet connection rather than through a cable or satellite dish. You receive a playlist file (M3U) or Xtream Codes login that works with a compatible IPTV player app on your device.

How IPTV differs from cable in Canada: Traditional cable and satellite TV rely on physical wiring or a dish tied to a single location, while an IPTV subscription streams directly to any internet-connected device — phone, tablet, laptop, Smart TV, or a streaming box like Firestick. Once you subscribe to Canada4KIPTV, you get secure login credentials for our streaming servers; install a supported player app, enter your details, and you're watching live TV and on-demand content in minutes. Because everything runs over the internet instead of dedicated infrastructure, you get more channels, a larger VOD library, and far more flexibility than a conventional Canadian cable package.
What is M3U and Xtream Codes — which should I use?

An M3U playlist is a file or URL containing your channel list that you import into an IPTV player. Xtream Codes is a login-based system (server URL, username, password) that many apps support natively and often provides a smoother experience with EPG data. We provide both with every subscription.

Which format to choose: Xtream Codes is generally the easier option for beginners since it works natively with popular Canadian IPTV apps like TiviMate, IPTV Smarters Pro, and GSE Smart IPTV, and automatically pulls in EPG (program guide) data. M3U playlists offer more flexibility for advanced users and are widely supported across almost every IPTV player and media platform, including VLC and Kodi. Since Canada4KIPTV includes both with every subscription, you can switch between them at any time depending on your device or player app.
What is EPG and does Canada4KIPTV include it?

EPG stands for Electronic Program Guide — the on-screen TV schedule that shows what's airing now and what's coming up on each channel, just like a cable guide. Yes, Canada4KIPTV includes a full 7-day EPG for all channels at no extra cost.

How to load the EPG: When using Xtream Codes, the EPG loads automatically inside TiviMate and IPTV Smarters. If you're using an M3U playlist, you may need to manually enter the EPG URL in your player's settings — your welcome email includes both the M3U link and the EPG URL. Once loaded, you'll see current and upcoming programming on every channel, and can set reminders or recordings if your player supports it.
How quickly will I receive my login credentials after subscribing?

In most cases, your M3U playlist URL and Xtream Codes login are delivered by email within minutes of payment being confirmed. If you don't see it within 15 minutes, check your spam folder or contact our support team via WhatsApp or email.

Do you offer a free trial?

Yes! We offer a free 24-hour trial with 1 connection and no payment required, so you can test the service on your specific setup and network before committing to a subscription.

What's included in the free trial: The 24-hour trial gives you real access to live channels, VOD content, and stream quality — not a limited demo — so you can evaluate performance on your own internet connection and preferred device before paying anything. It's the best way to confirm compatibility with your setup, check stream stability during peak hours, and see the channel lineup for yourself.

Devices & Setup
Supported Devices & How to Set Up
What devices does Canada4KIPTV work on?

Canada4KIPTV works on virtually any device that supports a third-party IPTV app — Amazon Fire TV/Fire Stick, Android TV, Apple TV, iPhone/iPad, Android phones and tablets, Samsung and LG Smart TVs, Windows, Mac, MAG boxes, Nvidia Shield, and any web browser.

Setting up your device: Whichever device you use, the process is the same: install a compatible IPTV player app (TiviMate Premium, included free with your subscription, is the top choice), enter the M3U or Xtream Codes credentials from your welcome email, and you're streaming. Most customers are set up in under 10 minutes.
How do I set up IPTV on a Firestick?

Install TiviMate from the Amazon Appstore (it's included free with your subscription). Open TiviMate → Add Playlist → Xtream Codes API. Enter the server URL, username, and password from your welcome email. Your full channel list and EPG load automatically. The whole process takes under 5 minutes.

Alternative apps for Firestick: IPTV Smarters Pro is also available on the Amazon Appstore and works well as an alternative to TiviMate. Both apps support Xtream Codes and M3U, so you can use whichever interface you prefer. All Fire Stick models are supported, including Fire TV Stick 4K and 4K Max.
How do I set up IPTV on iPhone or Apple TV?

On iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV, download IPTV Smarters Pro or GSE Smart IPTV from the App Store. Open the app, choose "Xtream Codes API" or "Add M3U URL", and enter your credentials from the welcome email. Apple TV 4K handles 4K streams perfectly on a fast connection.

How do I set up IPTV on a Samsung or LG Smart TV?

On Samsung Smart TVs (Tizen), install Smart IPTV or SS IPTV from the Samsung Smart Hub. On LG Smart TVs (webOS), SS IPTV is available in the LG Content Store. Enter your M3U URL or Xtream Codes details in the app. For best results on Smart TVs, use a wired Ethernet connection via the TV's built-in port.

Can I use the service on multiple devices at the same time?

Yes. We offer 2-connection and 4-connection packages. You can stream simultaneously on as many devices as your plan allows — 2 or 4 screens at once across any combination of devices.

Multi-device streaming for the whole household: Canada4KIPTV's connection-based plans let different family members watch different channels on different devices at the same time — a Smart TV in the living room, a phone in the kitchen, a laptop in a bedroom. Your subscription works across Fire TV, Android TV, Apple TV, Samsung and LG Smart TVs, iOS, Android, Windows, and MAG boxes.
What is TiviMate and is it really free with my subscription?

TiviMate is widely regarded as the best IPTV player for Android TV, Fire TV, and Nvidia Shield. The Premium version normally costs around $5 USD/year. Yes — Canada4KIPTV includes TiviMate Premium at no extra cost with every subscription. Details on how to activate it are included in your welcome email.

Plans & Billing
Pricing, Payment & Subscriptions
What plans are available and how much do they cost?

Canada4KIPTV offers four plans with 2 connections: 1 Month ($21.59 CAD), 3 Months ($53.99 CAD), 6 Months ($94.49 CAD), and 12 Months ($161.99 CAD — best value at ~$13.50/month). All plans include the full 20,000+ channel lineup, 50,000+ VOD, HD & 4K streams, EPG, and TiviMate Premium. 4-connection versions are also available.

Which payment methods do you accept?

We currently accept a large range of cryptocurrency payments including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, and USDT. If you have never used crypto before or need assistance, our support team will gladly walk you through it step by step.

Paying with crypto for the first time: Crypto payments are fast, secure, and don't require sharing sensitive banking details. Our support team can walk you through setting up a wallet and completing your first payment — most first-time customers are up and running in just a few minutes.
Is there a contract or long-term commitment?

No. There are no contracts, no lock-in periods, and no automatic renewals. Every plan is a one-time payment for the duration you choose. You renew only when you want to — or don't, with zero penalty.

What is the difference between 2-connection and 4-connection plans?

Your connection count is how many devices can stream simultaneously under your account. A 2-connection plan means 2 screens streaming at the same time. A 4-connection plan means 4 simultaneous streams. Both plans give access to identical channels and features — only the concurrent stream limit differs.

Can I upgrade my plan mid-subscription?

Yes. Contact our support team via email or WhatsApp and we'll help you upgrade your plan. We can adjust your connection count or extend your subscription period at any time.

Troubleshooting
Fixing Common Issues
What internet speed do I need for HD and 4K streaming?

We recommend a minimum of 10 Mbps for stable HD streaming and 25+ Mbps for 4K Ultra HD. A wired Ethernet connection is always preferable to Wi-Fi for the most reliable experience, especially for live sports and PPV events.

Getting the best streaming quality: Most Canadian households with standard broadband (50–100 Mbps from Rogers, Bell, Telus, Shaw, Videotron, or SaskTel) won't run into any issues, even when streaming 4K content. If you're running multiple simultaneous connections, add roughly 10–15 Mbps of headroom per additional stream. A wired Ethernet connection eliminates the Wi-Fi interference that causes most buffering, particularly during high-demand moments like NHL playoffs or UFC events.
What if I experience buffering or playback issues?

Buffering is most often caused by a slow internet connection or Wi-Fi interference. Try a wired Ethernet connection, restart your router, or lower the stream quality in your IPTV player settings. Our 24/7 support team can also help diagnose and resolve any service-side issues.

Step-by-step fix: (1) Switch from Wi-Fi to a wired Ethernet connection. (2) Restart your router and streaming device. (3) In your IPTV player settings, switch to a lower quality stream (HD instead of 4K) to see if that resolves it. (4) Check if the issue is on one channel or all channels — a single channel issue usually means a server-side problem our team can fix quickly. (5) If issues persist, contact our support team with your device type and the channel name.
My channels aren't loading or the app shows an error. What do I do?

First, check that your subscription is still active. Then try refreshing your playlist or re-entering your credentials in the app. If that doesn't resolve it, restart the app and your device. If the issue persists, contact our 24/7 support team — we can check your account status and server connectivity instantly.

The EPG / TV guide isn't showing. How do I fix it?

In TiviMate, go to Settings → Playlists → select your playlist → EPG Sources, and make sure the EPG URL is entered. If using Xtream Codes, the EPG should load automatically — try removing and re-adding your playlist. In IPTV Smarters, check the EPG URL under account settings. Your welcome email contains the EPG URL if you need to add it manually.

I'm getting a "maximum connections reached" error. What does that mean?

This means the number of devices currently streaming on your account has reached your plan's connection limit (2 or 4). Close the stream on another device first, then try again. If you regularly need more simultaneous streams, contact us to upgrade to a 4-connection plan.
